A World of Gods... And Devils
- TMK -
Alteris is an old world. Very old.
At the zenith of its industrial revolution, Alteris is dominated by clockwork automatons and gargantuan airships. It is a place of dark alchemy and fantastical beasts. A place where religion and ideology collide. Here, Vampires are Crusader spies, hulking lizardmen patrol the streets, and frankensteinian constructs sail the skies. Most of all, magic exists as an organic force. One acquired by divine transaction, inheritance, or sometimes taken by any means necessary...
Alteris is a living, breathing land defined by its people. Below are a series of twenty-five page short stories meant to bring Alteris to life by those who call it home.
Once you've come to love this world as I have, I hope you’ll join me in my mission to publish the Alteryon tetralogy, starting with A Fable for Larks. So, let me be the first to welcome you to Alteris!

The Languages of Alteris
To the people of Alteris, language is as core to identity as God or tribe. Each continent hosts a myriad of both cosmopolitan and unique tongues. For Odovan, also known Common, it is constantly evolving, merging with local dialects and phonologies from across the globe. Cath on the other hand, exists as an isolate its native speakers wield with pride. Some like Nassian or Gredicar are so bestial in nature, foreign mastery of the tongue is virtually impossible. Below is an interactive map to guide you across the many languages of the world.
About the Author
I began writing when I was little, crafting stories about dragons and undead, making adventures in impossible landscapes. I was always inspired by great authors like Preston & Child, Frank Herbert, George R.R. Martin, Cormac McCarthy, and Tolkien. So much so, I dreamed of joining their ranks one day. Thus, from a thousand different stories, the Alteryon was born.
The Alteryon is an homage to the giants of the past. It is a work that is meant to inspire and engage a new generation of authors to continue the fantastic storytelling tradition. Hopefully one day, it will inspire and entertain everyone.
